Line Dancing in Richmond - Tuesday afternoons from 2 to 3 pm, upstairs at the Richmond Arena. Classes start Tuesday, April 22 and run through to June 24. In addition to several old favourites, Waltz, West Coast Swing and Cha will be taught. This will be an entry level class with no previous line dance experience required.  All dances are low impact - no leaps and bounds.  The cost of the 10 week course is $70 per person or $120 per couple. The Planning, Transit and the Environment Department is offering the Planning Primer Program to help residents become more aware of, and more involved in, the land-use planning process. The Canadian Parks and Recreation Association (CPRA) currently offers a CPRA Canadian Certified Playground Inspector Certification program to individuals who successfully complete the Theory and Practical training courses through the Canadian Playground Safety Institute (CPSI).  This program will help individuals understand CAN/CSA Z614 “Children’s Playspaces and Equipment” and to learn how to conduct a hands-on inspection / audit of their playspace.  To register click here.

The Ottawa Paramedic Service is offering residents free CPR and Automated External Defibrillator training.
