Have the City move forward with the installation of traffic lights at Bankfield Road & Manotick Main Street and straighten Manotick Main Street to eliminate the blind corner just northwest  of Bankfield Road (Completed Fall 2007)

Restrict large truck (i.e. tandems, tractor trailers, cement /  dump trucks) traffic on Bridge / Manotick Main / Bankfield) to specific hours on weekdays (i.e. no trucks between 6:30-9:30 AM & 3:30-6:30 PM) and 8:00 AM-6:00 PM weekends

Once the Strandherd Bridge is built, totally restrict large truck traffic on Bridge / Manotick Main / Bankfield at all times (with the exception of local delivery requirements) so that the primary village core roadways can be returned to 'heritage route' status

If the Minto Mahogany subdivision is allowed to proceed, introduce stop signs and traffic lights at key intersections (i.e. Century Road, Mahogany Boulevard, Eastman) along Rideau Valley Drive / Manotick Main Street to slow traffic from the new subdivision and encourage subdivision traffic to use Century & First Line Roads

Have the City investigate the feasibility, options & associated costs to add a new 416 onramp at Century Road onto the 416 northbound

Have the City investigate the feasibility, options & associated costs to improve the traffic flow in the Bankfield / First Line / Prince of Wales / Greenbank corridor

Have the City investigate the feasibility, options and associated costs to:

  1. Make Manotick Main Street one way northbound from Beaverwood Road to the Bridge Street / Manotick Main Street intersection.
  2. Make Ann Street one way southbound from the Bridge Street / Manotick Main Street intersection to Beaverwood Road.
  3. Make Beaverwood Road one way eastbound from Ann Street to                   Manotick Main.
  4. Make Tighe Street one way westbound from Manotick Main Street to Ann Street.
  5. Potentially put a 3-way stop at Tighe & Manotick Main to introduce additional traffic calming and safety.
